A focused, in person acting workshop designed as a training led casting pathway for an upcoming UK film.

Screen Stars places participants inside a studio led environment where they learn how screen acting actually works. From performance fundamentals and audition preparation to understanding casting decisions, on set conduct, and professional expectations.

The workshop is led by award winning director and producer Shirley Frimpong Manso, whose work spans film, television, and branded storytelling across international markets.

Drawing directly from active productions, Screen Stars reflects real industry workflows rather than abstract training.

Screen Stars 26 London is aligned with UK based film and television projects scheduled for 2026. Selected participants will be invited to submit self tapes and may be invited into arranged auditions for potential roles in upcoming productions.

Talent Discovery and Casting Consideration

The Workshop

Screen Stars 26 London is both a training space and a talent discovery process.

Participants develop practical, industry focused skills including:

  • On camera performance and scene work
  • Emotional truth and script interpretation
  • Blocking, timing, and delivery
  • Camera awareness and screen presence
  • Monologues and audition material
  • Understanding casting perspective
  • Self tape preparation
  • Navigating representation and industry pathways

Participants are observed throughout the workshop. Following the session, participants will be invited to submit a private self tape. Selected individuals will then be invited to audition for upcoming UK based film and television projects in development by Sparrow Studios and Shirley Frimpong Manso.

Participation does not guarantee casting. All decisions are based on performance, suitability, and production needs.

About Shirley Frimpong-Manso.

Shirley Frimpong Manso is an award winning film director and producer with over twenty years of experience across film, television, and branded storytelling.

Her films The Perfect Picture Ten Years Later and Potato Potahto have streamed internationally on Netflix. She has produced and directed series for platforms including Showmax and Canal Plus and has worked with global brands such as Coca Cola, Unilever, Vodafone, and Virgin Atlantic.

She brings a clear understanding of what directors look for when casting for the screen and how emerging talent is identified within real productions.
